Deposit Money Into Varo Account
Adding money to your Varo account is very simple & easy. All you need to do is simply find a GreenDot location in order to hand over the amount you want to deposit to a cashier and ask him/her to add that money to your Varo card. The cashier will swipe your Varo debit card and deposit cash into your account.
Where can I add money to my Varo card?
The places where you can deposit cash into your Varo account include:
- 7-Eleven
- Walmart
- CVS
- Walgreens
- Rite Aid
- Dollar Tree
- Dollar General
These are some of the popular stores at which you can ask the cashier to deposit money into your Varo card. Please remember to carry at least $5 extra as you will be charged a fee in order to add cash to your card. The fee varies with the amount you want to deposit. For example, 7-Eleven stores charge you a load fee of $4.95 for every $500 deposited.
How much can I load in a day?
There are limits on the amount you can load onto your Varo card in a day. The maximum you can deposit in a day is $1,000. The monthly deposit limit for your account will be $5,000. So, you can't add more than this amount per day or per month. However, I think you can add up to $1,500 per day at ACE Cash Express stores.
Can I deposit cash into my Varo card at Walmart?
Yes. You can add money to your Varo card at any nearby Walmart store. In fact, I would like to suggest you Walmart instead of all other stores as Walmart charges way less to load money than others.
When you deposit $1,000 into your Varo account, the load fee you'll have to pay is just $3.74 but when you add the same amount at Family Dollar, you'll be charged $3.95 per $500. So, it's better to visit a Walmart store near you in order to deposit cash into your Varo card rather than visiting Rite Aid or Family Dollar or 7-Eleven or any other store for that matter.
